Simple Present

Rumus : I/we/you/they Verb
             he/she/it     verb+s

Dipakai untuk menyatakan perbuatah yang menjadi kebiasaan :
Contoh:
- I go to school everyday
- He Always gets up at seven o'clock
Menyatakan kebenaran yang tak dapat dibantah.
Contoh :
- A week has seven days
- The sun rises in the east

Present Progressive

Rumus : to be(am, are, is) + verb + ing
 
Dipakai untuk menyatakan perbuatan yang sedang berlangsung
contoh :
- They are studying now
- He is playing football

Menyatakan perbuatan yang bersifat sementara
contoh :
- She is reading now but she will write soon
